To perform these cheats, you'll need the following:

- A Hex Editor (I use XVI32)
- UNLZEXE.exe (used to decompress the file you'll be editing)

For this example, I will show you how to implement the first CC2.exe cheat (unlimited health).

Before attempting these cheats, you will need to decompress CC2.exe. To do this in windows, simply drag and drop CC2.exe over the UNLZEXE.exe icon to decompress it. Using something like DOS, go to the CC2 directory (making sure UNLZEXE.exe is in same directory; you won't have to type the entire directory when decompressing). Type UNLZEXE cc2.exe cc2.exe. This will decompress CC2.exe and make a backup of the file (called CC2.olz). I also stongly recommend you make an actual backup of CC2.exe (in addition to CC2.olz) - you might wreck your file and need to start again. Now you're ready to edit!

Open the decompressed CC2.exe in your Hex Editor.

The hex cheats are displayed like below on the cheats page. Here's what the three sections of the cheat mean:

Go to offset 00021F65. At this address will be byte FF. Change it from FF to 90. The next byte will be 0E. Change this to 90 as well. After that, there is 9E. This must also be changed to 90 along with the following byte, 50. Now, instead of having FF 0E 9E 50, you'll have 90 90 90 90.

Save the file and start playing with the Hex Cheats enabled!

You can now go and edit the rest of the cheats into Crystal Caves using the above method!
