Access Denied in CCLEVELS.exe

| Okay, so you've downloaded the levels,
decompressed CC1.exe, ran CCLEVELS.exe only to get a
message saying: "1 File(s) Copied Access Denied" What are you supposed to do now? Luckily for you, there are two simple solutions to this problem. The first solution (for users of Windows 95/98) is to simply reboot the computer in MS-DOS mode and launch CCLEVELS.exe from there. For users of other OSes (I assume this would include 2000 and XP), DOSBox is what you'll want to try. DOSBox's official site is here: http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/, and you can download the latest release of it there, too. Alternatively, if you've got an old Keen-O-Matic (that is, an old, preferably pre-Pentium speed system capable of running Commander Keen and the like properly) lying around, just run it on there... <- Back to Mod Downloads. |
